FIRST Points

FIRST Points was one of FIRST's early programs before beginning the FIRST Robotics Competition. Students would earn "stamps" for their work in science and mathematics which could be exchanged for prizes at local businesses. The program was endorsed by the National Science Teachers Association and operated at least as early as 1991. FIRST Points is one of the only known programs that FIRST operated between its inception in 1989 and the beginning of the FIRST Robotics Competition (then called FIRST Encounters) in 1992.
